It also houses the Institute for Cell Mimetic Space Exploration and the bioengineering department. Its open floor plan – designed to encourage collaboration – provides an enriched experience for students. The five-story building contains classroom, seminar space and offices. Breakout space, lounges and open stairways encourage social interaction. Sustainable features include a cool roof, high-efficiency air handlers and operable office windows.
