About the Project

Georgetown University’s newest flagship building to house the McCourt School of Public Policy. Situated at the northeast corner of E Street and 2nd Street, this new addition both extends the existing Georgetown Law Center complex and acts as the anchor for the entirely new Capitol Campus in downtown Washington, DC.

The new building includes a combination of technically-advanced classrooms, academic offices, a large broadcast-ready 400-seat auditorium, a student commons, and a 280 seat rooftop event venue. This state-of-the-art building allows the new McCourt School of Public Policy to expand upon its predecessor, the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, offering space for additional faculty as well as a Center for Global Politics and Policy and a Massive Data Institute.

The new McCourt School of Public Policy building has been designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.

AFI window actuators and controls are installed as part of the Smoke/Heat Exhaust Ventilation system.
